Giacomo Tampalini founded his company in 1960, after the acquisition of notable experience working for a local factory.
His main activity is soldering hollow-handle knives and manufacturing handles for saucepans. The company once situated in Lumezzane Fontana, followed the great expansion of its market and moved to the near borough of Lumezzane Piatucco in 1974. The need for a widening of the production departments made the SIT move to the actual premises in Via Garibaldi 65/F, in an area of 3000 mq. The company employs now 20 people and with its technologically advanced machinery is in a position to manufacture its production with great accuracy and quality. Its customers can be found all over Italy as well as on important foreign markets such as France, Germany, Swiss and Spain.
In 1986 the company "Tampalini Giacomo"took the actual name of "SIT di Tampalini G.&C. snc". In 1987 his daughter Ezia entered the company to attend to the administrative sector and his sons Ruggero and Sandro entered the company in the same year to attend to the planning and production sector and improve it thanks to their technical knowledge. From 1994 the SIT company with the associated LASERTECH has organised a special specific department for the laser cutting and soldering of plane and three-dimensional surfaces, widening the range of services offered to its customers.
