The careful attention to the requirements of the inox steel products’ market, and the evolution of the working techniques, suggested to SIT Tampalini at the start of the 1990s to organise a flat and three-dimensional laser-cutting department.
The constant increase in requests coming from the clientele provoked the foundation of a new company, LASER TECH.
Over the years, Laser Tech has examined its knowledge of laser cutting, at the same time increasing the equipment of dedicated machinery.
Today, Laser Tech is capable of carrying out a complete range of workings on inox sheet metal:
- Flat laser cutting
- Three-dimensional laser cutting
- Three-dimensional sheet metal welding
- Bending and shaping of sheet metal
As well as the necessary surface treatment in order to finish the products .
LASER TECH: THE LASER IN INDUSTRY
The laser beam is a universal tool in order to carry out cutting and welding operations. The laser beam, which operates without contact or noise, can be focussed in a greatly reduced diameter (0.2 mm). The density of energy generated in the focal point is so high that it is even possible to melt or vaporise materials in an extremely precise manner. The laser cutting process, absent of wear or strain, offers new possibilities in terms of reducing production costs, and increasing the standard quality. Finally, the advanced technology of laser cutting allows for the execution of metal cutting processes which may not be possible with traditional cutting systems.
